  2. Looks like it's time for Kaiyodo to refresh it's Revoltech VF-1 line of figures with new and improved ones! Part swappable transformation looks quite good. It will be interesting to see how these stack up against Bandai's VF100s line.

  1. Yamato 1/2000 SDF-1 .... HOW MUCH!?!?!
  2. Now this is all very unofficial, so lets hope it's not the price! ￥210,000 ($2,302, £1,409, €1,556) also going to be an online shop item; release in December this year? Well, I'd been preparing myself for some crazy figure, but this is completely nuts for all but the seriously rich and hardcore fans. If the pictures here are accurately depicting the final SDF-1 it's very lacking in detail for a piece this size and more importantly, cost. Yamato are also using some new type of HDR (Heavy Duty Resin) to make it very strong but still easy to work with like plastic.

    Oh well, my SDF-1 dream dies.

  1. Yamato Website Update
  2. Yamato has updated its website with 4 new items, 3 previously released items and one new white coloured, but described as Unpainted VF-1S due out in December ￥8,295 (this is a drop in price previously it would have been around ￥9,800, less parts included? or rescission?)

    The two already released VF-1S/A now come with a new commemorative edition package design and a special gift? Well it's a "projector" (see right image) it shines a Skull Squadron logo onto a surface...OK. While I'm speculating it here, I hope they've included the changes to the VF-1 designs in hib/nose section as see on the recently released VF-1s and not just re-packaged old stock. Also due in December at the normal ￥12,800 asking price.
