Not sure, it could be they want to use the movie colours for the normal retail release since it will happen closer to the Movie.

is there a reason they're making items that should be included in the set a special limited edition web only item?

... to Gundam and think Unicorn OVA will overshadow it next year even with the 00 movie due. Also they've done a Movie re-colouring of the Macross Frontier VF-25F and I wonder if they'll do that also for the Raiser??? As they've done repaints before with the PG Strike Rouge + Skygrasper
