PG RX-78-2 Build... blog???

Here's the first part of the build, feet! There's a very nice level of detail and mechanics.

Individual rocks and not a moulded strip plastic with details.

It's got two screws in the feet! Are they actually required or just added to make it look cooler???

There's a surprising amount of flash on this kits feet. While I've only taken pictures of two pieces I've come across 4. Guess the master is starting to show it's age.

Here's the finial foot and some size comparisons the 1/100

Have the PG Strike, but wanted to build the RX-78-2 first. Am waiting for the PG Skygrasper which I ordered a while ago to get delivered.

OK onto the legs...

The the legs have shocks!! Controlled with a spring!

The inner frame is done, it has little connectors for the outer armor to attach to.

Those little arms on the back are a royal pain to get the armor attached to, so had to improvise with some cotton buds.

And we're done!

There's slight crack in the upper calf armor, not sure where the problem is need to give it a proper looking over as something is causing it not to sit tight.

And finally a update size guide.

One of the interesting things about the legs of the PG and the MG v2 is there's not that much in the difference. OK the MG doesn't have springs or chrome parts, but the general construction is very similar. The MG even has the same configuration of outer armor parts and some of the inner frame to. It's like they shrunk the PG then simplified a couple of things. Plus the MG foot has more articulation, the toe can bend down, the PG's can't do this; most lightly the rockets would get in the way. Another plus for the MG is the additional panel line detail.
